Mediwatch is a clinical-grade remote monitoring system that tracks post-surgery patient recovery day by day — alerting doctors, nurses, and monitors the moment something goes wrong.
Mediwatch wraps around the patient's entire recovery journey with a structured monitoring protocol.
Doctor or nurse creates a patient profile with disease, diagnosis, risk category, and sets the monitoring window (e.g. 14 days post-surgery).
Patient receives a login OTP on WhatsApp. On first login, monitoring begins. A welcome message with the app link is sent automatically.
Each day, the patient answers disease-specific symptom questions via the app. Multiple WhatsApp reminders are sent if they forget.
Mediwatch computes a disease score (e.g. BASDAI for Ankylosing Spondylitis) and evaluates trend — GREEN, YELLOW, or RED.
RED and YELLOW alerts immediately notify the monitor and doctor via WhatsApp. Unacknowledged RED alerts escalate every 10–15 minutes.
At the end of the monitoring window, the patient's status moves to "completed." The doctor reviews the full recovery trend report.
Every feature in Mediwatch is designed around real hospital workflows — multi-facility, multi-role, with the right data visible to the right people.
Each hospital or clinic gets its own isolated workspace with custom departments, diseases, and staff — all managed by a Super Admin.
BASDAI, weighted, or sum-based scoring engines. Custom symptom templates per disease with fully configurable formula parameters.
11 WhatsApp templates cover OTPs, daily reminders, alert escalations, and unsubmitted patient lists — with SMS fallback via Twilio.
Monitors see all active alerts sorted by priority. RED patients always appear first. Doctors can annotate, resolve, or escalate with clinical notes.
Weekly and monthly progress reports per patient. Doctors can export the full patient list. Super admin exports all alerts across facilities.
Doctors can attach clinical notes and prescriptions to any patient at any point in the monitoring cycle, visible to the full care team.
Every daily submission is automatically evaluated against trend rules and threshold logic to classify the patient's current state.
Patient's symptom score is within expected range and showing no worsening trend across consecutive days. No action needed.
No escalationScore is increasing over 3 consecutive days. Monitor is notified and reminded every 30 minutes until acknowledged. Escalates to project lead after 3 reminders.
Monitor notified → 3 reminders → EscalationScore jumped by 2+ points, an override question triggered (e.g. can't walk, can't grip), or 3 consecutive YELLOW days. Doctor AND monitor notified immediately.
Doctor + Monitor → Every 10–15 min → EscalationRole-based JWT authentication ensures every team member sees exactly what they need — nothing more.
Mediwatch sends 11 WhatsApp message templates — from OTP authentication to urgent RED alert escalations — using Meta's WhatsApp Business API.
